Therapist? Mentor? What’s the difference?

Before we begin, let’s be clear—I’m not a therapist. I don’t diagnose, prescribe, or dig into past histories. As your mentor, I teach practical skills to navigate tough emotions and difficult situations, helping you apply them in real time to strengthen your relationships and regain balance.

My approach is rooted in evidence-based DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), but at their core, DBT skills are life skills—tools that help anyone, especially highly sensitive people, manage emotions, communicate effectively, and stay grounded in conflict.

If emotions tend to take the wheel before you even have a chance to think, or if setting boundaries feels impossible, these skills can change everything. They’re not about suppressing emotions—they’re about understanding, managing, and using them wisely. And the best part? They’re learnable, teachable, and available to anyone ready to try.

Is a Mentor Right for You?

Featured Artwork: The Median '&'

This is my handmade artwork featuring an ampersand (&) crafted from an assortment of seashells, arranged on a teal-painted canvas background. The "&" symbol demonstrates how two things can both be true at the same time, leading to greater understanding and balance.
